about:

An exploration into different forms of art in response to consumerism, I particularly like the work of Amir Noor: using strong language on products and receipts, this presents a strong massage to viewers and clearly represents his views on consumerism.

Also research into poorly translated garments and t-shirts with anti-consumerist quotes. This is a style which I would like to experiment with when I eventually print onto garments, I will use humour similarly to the 'I hate capitalism' garment to present how my brand is anti-consumerism.

Poorly translated garments provide humour, without the consumer actually knowing what they are wearing - This will be something I experiment with, using a foreign language to present stern messages (unless you can read from that particular language, you will not know what the saying is). A play. on some of these found garments.

- further research into consumerism art

- focusing on typography and different projects where artist/designers are dealing with consumerism.

- helps to decide on what form of text I will be using within my work - more of a serious approach to my work.
